After reading your skillbar and attributes and what youre trying to accomplish in this game, are you completely sure that first opening sentance i quoted wasnt a typo?

Honestly in nine months of playing, you should have been able to completely finish the game. ie. all missions, quests, exploring and have been able to cap all your elites for your primary profession. Honestly if it took me 9 months to get to where you are at, id have uninstalled the game 8 months ago.

Your skill bar is "useless"

Stop whining about not being able to solo anything, when your skillbar is really terrible.

People complaining about lack of solo play in an MMO game. The first M in MMO stands for MULTIPLAYER, you know? If you want to play lone wolf style you might as well play singleplayer, offline!

It's always funny when someone tries to educate a poster through online attitude, all the while having doling out the incorrect information.

The first M .... the first M

LMAO that was my same reaction when I got to the OP's post about his "build". My eyes rolled so far back it hurt.

But concerning the OP. I can understand why he's having difficulties with the game. He doesn't understand it. Raising the level cap don't mean squat. Cause you always have one advantage over the monsters, your skills. This game is all about the skills.

Their skills hardly change, but you got a whole mess at your disposal.

And also I was cracking up when he said whats the point of a secondary. lol tell that to my W/ME who uses mesmer stances. Or when I switch her to a W/Rit and use weapons spells. Or when I switch her to a W/R and use Melandru's Resilience.

To me this game is part killing crap, part exploring, and part build tinkering. The ladder being my favorite.

And also no matter what class I play I steamroll where ever I want using henchies. For maximum mob clearing I play my minion maker.

Level 18....lol

Wait, are you saying it's taken a whole year to get to level 18...

HAHA! I know people to get to 20 in under a day. The quickest I've gotten to 20 is 4 days. I typed /age and I've only used the character overall for 8 hours by the time I was level 20.

Also, if the level cap got raised to something like 60, shiro, glint would be raised to 71, and the creatures you hate would be level 62s, 64s and 68s.

That is one singular skillbar. It would pose a threat to the Ether Prodigy W/E in a fight for awesomeness!! Replace Executioner's Strike with the elite Skull Crack later on for REAL pwnage.

...more to come later, I just dropped by and I'm too busy to post any serious comment

Always bring both monks if they're available.

You're a warrior - don't bring both warrior henches. One warrior is enough, two warriors total is plenty.

If you find yourself low on energy, change to cheaper skills and/or bring the necro hench (he'll blood-ritual you every three steps of the way).

If you find yourself low on adrenalin, use a skill which improves attack speed.

If you get in trouble, analyse the cause. Did vital enchants get stripped? Were the enemy dumping conditions on you? Hexes? Interrupts?
Then change your skill-bar and your attributes to counter, and go again.

Just to clarify something...

I got the game last November.
At the time, I had a verrrry slow computer.
I'd be fighting, and then it would freeze, and when it resumed, my party would be lying dead.

So I took a few months off, until I was able to get my computer souped up.
Started playing again, and actually enjoyed it since I wasn't lagging all the time.

As to taking so long to be at level 18, personally I despise doing the missions. I'd rather just explore and find stuff to kill that way.

Destiny: Guys I keep getting pwned why does this game suck so much
Everyone: It's not the game that sucks maybe you just aren't doing it right?
Destiny: No I should be able to pwn everything by myself blindfolded with my feet
Everyone: No that's not how GW works, you're supposed to use teamwork, what's your skillbar like?
Destiny: *posts his lol skillbar*
Everyone: Oh well that's not very good, here's some ideas to fix it.
Destiny: That sucks why can't I just have whatever skills I want and still pwn everything?
Everyone: SIIIIIIIIIGH

Intelligence means everything if there is 30 of them and 1 of you, they fight in a set patten, figure it out and counter it, you have 8 skills they have 2 or 3 skills they use, split them up into smaller groups, called "pulling" in GW, make sure you have the skills needed for that area before you enter, perhaps change your secondary for it, Change and adapt, it can be done solo, has been done solo, and will continue to be done solo. Do some reaserch on diffrent builts and their uses. Try Guildwiki, you can even find out what skills to expect the monsters to be using in what areas.

After reading the whole thread I'm gone say something I never thought I'd say.

This game is clearly not for the OP. Recommend immediet uninstall

Well, yes once you reach a certain point in the game(provided you have followed the story line as intended by the dev's) you can freely change your secondary proffesion as needed, W/M or W/E or W/R or W/N even W/Me, a built to suit the situation, here it's about adaptation, the game does not adapt to you, you have to adapt to the game.

Yes, if you continue to play through the game as intended, once you get to the desert, you have the option to change your secondary to any other one you want however many times you want, just by completing the designated quests.

*beat me to it by seconds stockholm*

I've beaten both Prophecies and Factions with only one other human on my team (my fiancé) and henchies.
